The more it's snowing, the less snow there is on the ground...
Yup. Might as well be cold rain.
Radar looks like crap for us as well. Bust.

Intensity is definitely picking up now. Once we lose daytime heating, things could get interesting fast.
When do you expect the solar radiation to go down?

Tyler Hamilton still says 20-30 cm for the higher terrain around Coquitlam.

1.1C and can see rain mixing in already. 3cm at most today here. Catnip has 8cm? Even the top of westwood plateau (~370m elevation) only has gotten about 10cm today.

We've got maybe 12cm but has been thick and fine snow all day, so accumulation very slow.

Well another 10cm and then the Plateau would be at 20cm so Tyler Hamilton may not be far off on his forecast in that region.
Its the low elevations suffering from lack of precipitation intensity and solar radiation. Too bad its not colder.
Next week looks promising based on latest models. The GEFS looks amazing and the EPS looks good as well. In fact, todays EPS runs are colder. The GEM and Euro look decent too. GFS has backed off in the clown range but it'll probably go back to the colder solutions.
I doubt this will be our last low elevation snowfall. At least one or two more are likely at some point in the next 2 weeks.

Just measured 7 cm at my place so far, only gained 2 cm since late this morning despite nearly constant snow. Probably due to some compacting and daytime heating as others have mentioned. Temp steady at 0.4c

Lets not go that far. Anus road still holds that distinction....even today.
