Sorry I'm late.

Let's take another stab at this:

SNOWFALL WARNING IN EFFECT

So this time it looks like a widespread heavy snowfall in the more traditional sense, say from years ago or decades ago. A widespread heavy wet snowfall. I think everyone will see snow with this even down to sea level. Amounts will increase as usual as we gain in elevation and eastward towards the Fraser Valley. My guess is up to 10CM in low lying areas, 20CM at higher elevations and east,(25CM)? and perhaps a bit more towards Chilliwack, over a longer time period.

There are a few variables this time, which COULD create higher amounts than forecast, and if the cold sticks around, it will add to the length of snowfall thus increasing the total amounts.

This isn't going to bust this time round, but as always anything could happen. I'm leaning towards cooler, and longer lasting. We may not warm up as much as EC is forecasting this week, and if we can hold on to the snowfall we might make it to the end of the week where temps will get cooler again. It's looking like as we move towards mid Feb we might end up in a cold snowy pattern. It's looking positive and models are pointing to this in the reasonable long range. Reading through some of your posts it seems a few of you have caught on to this, so I hope it works out!

Forgot to mention some areas of Vancouver Island will get hit as well, and Gibsons, and west of there, will get a pretty heavy snowfall as well. Squamish to Whistler should get hit pretty good with wind as well. Mountains stand to pick up a decent recovery after all the melt they had over the last week.
