I had a streak of 21 days with lows <0C from Feb 3rd to Feb 23rd. I also recorded five sub-freezing highs during that time.
FWIW, EC shows Abbotsford dipping to a low of -6 Friday and -9 Saturday. I suppose it's possible if we don't get any wind.

-0.5C here last night. 26th consecutive freeze.

Models show the airmass cooling substantially tonight as the wind dies and some precip moves up from the South. I’d guess a couple Cm’s is a good bet. Someone might get 5cm.

It would certainly be nice to score a calm clear cold night out of this pattern. I don't believe we've had a single one this month.

Interesting... I'm guessing you managed a freeze on the 2nd. It only got down to 1.6C here that day, and also on the 24th it only got down to 0.7C here.

I swear that area has the best climate in southwest BC. You seem to maximize cold and snowfall from almost any pattern. Pretty nice summers, too.

Looks like it's snowing in South parts of Seattle metro with temps in the low 40sF. Bodes well for us later on.

Looks like we just snuck one in near sunrise on the 2nd. Must have been some clearing on the South Island because I think YYJ did too.

Since then our warmest low has been -0.5C.

I don’t think temps will be that much of an issue if you see any type of sustained precip.

It’s been flurrying lightly on and off here at +3

Is any part of this setup similar to last Tuesday? I've already forgotten what happened.

Where I am all the properties on one the side of the street still have snow and the ground is frozen solid. On the otherside (facing the south sunshine) there's no snow, all the crocuses are out and the daffodils are poking through! Its like living in two different climates from one side to the other!

I'm not sure how we'll do later on. If the ground is still frozen that may help a bit?! Here's hoping!!

yeah...its exactly like that! I have crocuses blooming in my spring like, south facing, front yard. The backyard is in complete shade and I still have 3 or 4" of wet snow there. Its a bit disconcerting. Spring in the front, winter in the back.
