I've been wondering if anyone else was watching the lack of sunspots
A MONTH WITHOUT SUNSPOTS? It could happen. The sun has been without spots since the beginning of February.Only 2 more days are necessary for an entire month of spotlessness. This long interval of blank suns is a sign that Solar Minimum is underway. This phase of the solar cycle brings extra cosmic rays, long-lasting holes in the sun's atmosphere, and strangely pink auroras.

just 2 more days and we have a month without sunspots. anyone else of the opinion we might slip into a Maunder-type minimum?
I've seen both sides of the argument (these dudes are quite passionate about their theories :whack: ) and my extremely amateur (and probably biased due to my love of snow) opinion is we might be heading there given the last decades patterns.

Sure would be good for snow. :snowman: :totalfreeze:

GFS ensembles have been getting a bit more "wetter" with each run as well. Nothing crazy but perhaps some flurries.
