OK, I guess I'll re-phrase for you: the snowfall warning was a bust. I'm not staying it is or isn't a surprise to us on this forum.

Maybe for your area but Abbotsford saw a couple hours of very heavy snow. I measured about 5cm before I went to work and that fell within like 30-45 mins. Likely had more by the time it stopped snowing, but I don't know how much because most melted later in the afternoon. The forecast was always for it to be a marginal setup, so I wouldn't call bust. Environment Canada can't put out precise details for each micro climate locality in our complex region. Its not easy to predict, especially in these marginal situations.

Well said Jr. The Usual crap holes in the LM often miss in marginal set ups while other snowbelts usually win (See Catnips 10" on ground still) :wish: . I'm in the middle. Got 4cm today. Was near Cloverdale and yes it's like night and day. I went 3 mins down the hill from my place also looked like i was in a different climate zone...and i actually was!
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

Guys, I said it was a bust for places like Cloverdale, South Delta, White Rock, etc. in my first post. Then I was asked to clarify who said snow was coming for those areas, and I said EC did. I never said it was a bust for every area. Merely stated that the forecast busted for some.

Also, EC typically says "local snowfall amount.." when they don't think it will involve everyone. This time the snowfall warning included the entire LML and said "snowfall amount of 5 to 10 cm".

Is tomorrow going to be a mixed bag of instability/snow/hail/rain/sun/sleet/thunder? or just a lame day of clouds/sun breaks with the odd light rain or snow shower?

Not sure what’s up with the 95x, I think one of the kids did that.

But it is progressing warmer. I am getting the felling we might be done with significant non slop snow till next year.

00z GFS basically bone dry over the next 10 days.

Multiple snows in Oregon and Washington but nothing for us. Par for the course.

Ok , should we concentrate on the NHL trade deadline? Ah, most likely bone dry for the canucks also.
