Too bad there likely won't be much in the way of fresh snow cover. I don't know the specifics of why, but the fresh stuff lends itself to cold low temps more than the old frozen crusty snow.

No sign of spring in the GFS ensembles. Cool to cold until further notice

Yeah, that's one thing we haven't gotten out of this pattern. There's always some reason why it can't get cold... too cloudy, too windy, not enough snow cover, old snow cover. Come on... :bang:

Measured 4" (10cm) of snowfall about 1/2 hour ago. It had settled a bit so not sure what the exact snowfall was, but that should be fairly close.

It was close to 15 cm. at SFU. It was really nice up there.
