Last band of precip just moving through Chilliwack now moderate snow may pick up another cm. sounds like this is it for the winter with all the talk while Seattle or Portland will get the last laugh. :(
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Models handle the 500mb pattern very oddly in recent runs. Looks like the area in between SEA and PDX will get hammered next week.

Wet snow showers on and off this weekend here. Weak CAPE values so nothing too crazy.

Guess this just isn't Vancouver's winter.
Starting to get the feeling that storm is going to end up south. 72hrs out and the northward trend has slowed.

Shawnigan Lake: 73.6cm
Victoria: 68.3cm
Seattle: 51.3cm
Abbotsford: 50.1cm
Vancouver: 31.2cm

Both Victoria and Seattle way ahead of Vancouver. Pretty pathetic.
That Shawnigan lake total seems a little light. But that station is several miles from here, and this side of the lake does get a little more snow sometimes, so I guess it's possible

Yep. Models always find a way to screw Vancouver over in the end.

It's going to have to be a pretty epic jump north for something within 72 hours now. I mean it could happen but we'll need to see that trough dig in offshore and serve to bomb this thing out.
