Though I will say that the Euro trending colder does lend some confidence to the chance of a mid-January cold spell.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Any chance of snow Monday morning? Precipitation with thickness of 522 on the GFS.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Given how putrid this month has been over the past few years, it was bound to happen at some point and it's (historically) the perfect time of year to maximize cold.
The thing is even if something half as good as those crazy solutions verifies, it would still be an impressive cold and snowy pattern. Not to mention, in January! :D  8-) :snowman:

I’d guess snow levels of 500-1000ft again. Strong SW flow. I’d like to see 850s and 925 temps a degree or 2 colder for sea level snow with strong onshore flow.

EC issued a heavy rain warning between Nanoose and Fanny Bay. The rain promptly stopped. Typical.

Well it’s almost go time for the Euro. Looks almost identical to the Gfs at day 5. Will we see that ridge expand into Alaska. I think (hope so) the GFS has been too consistent to disregard
