Look at the title again. That map is in ËšF, notËšC. So, even colder! I was just going through some old online archives from the Bellingham Herald about January 1950. That would be that level of cold (Bellingham had days with winds gusting to 70 mph and temperatures in the single digits in 1950.)

That gives me an idea for a tagline in my signature block…

Looks like a good day for a ski day at Whistler. I went on a day like this in the early 2000's. It was -25c on the mountain and wind chill was much colder.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Windstorm tomorrow has been watered down. 50-70km/hr with minimal rainfall. Notice that it will get very warm before noon with those southerlies. +14 to +17? Depends on how strong those SE/S winds get.

Don’t think so but man the consistency on the gfs is incredible
