Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Lets see. The ECMWF has crazy pressure gradients with the frontal passage. Those winds in excess of 110km/hr could very well verify. This would be Friday afternoonCloverdale wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:03 pm Call me old but in my experience take what the models are saying reduce by half or two thirds is the most likely outcome. Would be fun if it verified though.
GEM and GFS are more run of the mill...

I had around 6 mm yesterday. 40 mm today so far. So about 46 mm since yesterday afternoon. Looks like the heavy rain continues tonight so we'll see how much additional rainfall I receive.

The power did actually go out at the mall for about 45 mins during the December 20 2018 storm but it came back on before my shift started.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah wind gusts to 168 km/h in a mountainous town won't cause any damage... But speeds like that won't likely verify so thats good news.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Not to sound negative but it was an utter shite day here on the North Shore. Dark, depressing, and soaking rains of varying intensity. Can't wait to move to a sunnier and colder climate.Hawk wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 6:25 pm Another enjoyable day buttees.
