It would be great to see a true arctic front come through that has a very cold air mass behind instead of the very weak non events we have seen over the last few years.

We saw one on February 3, 2019. Abbotsford went from 1.7C at midnight to -8.3C by 3 PM. The temps starting dropping off really quick by 9 AM while simultaneously a moderate band of snow developed as the arctic front rushed in from the North. The NE outflow winds dropped the temperature, rather than causing it to warm. That sounds like a true arctic front to me. 8-)

Ok things are looking somewhat realistic with the models. Have they lost it yet on the AF yet? arguing over snow totals etc.

True early Feb was a significant event but less dramatic if I can remember out my way. I can remember some that the winds howled out of the Valley for days.

Talk of being so close to a historic pattern on the A forums. I'd say they've lost it.
