All I will say is who cares if historical cold happens because it wont

BUT cold and snowy looks good on the models right now fingers crossed it wont fall apart. I can see it warming a tad as we get closer but as long as we stay cold enough for snow I'm good.

This COULD finally break the January curse.. Wait and see approach

I've had my weather station since 2012, and only once in 7 years has the coldest temperature occurred in January (3 were December and 3 were February), but I have good feeling about this year. Maybe I've just jinxed it, but it's sure cold in Alaska with a good shot of that cold air slipping down our way.

The January curse also includes the lack of cold (last -10C temp was way back in 2004). We'd need to see that as well before it's finally broken.

Yes Iceman. Our cold originates in Ak, Yukon or N BC. It's been too long. We need a PG lockdown buttees :thanks:

Yes , white rock has made national news with the feeding frenzy down there at the beach , saw on global that a bunch of the anchovies have washed up on shore from lack of oxygen which makes sense because it's so shallow there and there's so many of them. But still lots left, it'll be interesting to see how long this wildlife show will still go on for.

So you have a 3.5 cm lead in the Over the Hill Winter Classic. Has it been applooved by Alpine credits? Do you own your own home?

There's talk on the A forums that a -PNA block is better for a snowy pattern versus a -EPO block, which is better for a dry cold pattern.
But I've always thought a -PNA is good for a cold onshore flow, but if we want a cold and snowy pattern, we need a -PNA and -EPO combo.
Though I wonder what a -PNA and neutral EPO combo would look like. Any thoughts?
