Of course it could fall apart the night before, but this isn’t just one model run we are getting slightly excited/talking about.

With the EPS being consistent it does raise the odds of perhaps some exciting weather in our future.

If there is one thing I've learned about weather here over the years it’s to never get excited till the snow is falling from the sky.

The real question is do you go with the EPS given its consistency and excellent performance last February? Or do you remain skeptical?

I think the EPS is generally favoured among meteorologists. If it is truly on to something, I think we will see other models follow in the coming days. I'm cautiously optimistic that we can at least see some cold and snow in January.

By the way, that EPS is so close to unleashing the arctic on us. With the current tilt, just a little bit more amplification into Alaska would be all we would need. That said, the pattern shown is still cold and would give us low elevation snow chances. :D 8-) :snowman:

When people post to not take even 7 day maps as gospel it isn't meant to be negative just realistic. As somebody who has followed this forum for a very long time & had egg on my face too many times after telling people next week is going to be crazy snow or cold I'm just wary now. Would also
like to thank all the people post maps & predictions even when they are in clown range.

Actually I had a good laugh when Stormer said he couldn't care less whether it snows or not , after that you could've heard a pin drop. And that came after saying he hopes to get some snow while in Victoria, now that's funny.
I knew the Sheriff didn't mean any harm, Flakey basically said the same thing.

Let's be honest, most of us are on here because we're interested in snow and arctic air which is hard to come by. If not for that this forum would be a ghost town. We all have different personalities but similar weather interests, I'll leave you with a few words from Bono.

Yeah I know he didn't mean any harm! And yeah we all have different personalities which is a good thing keeps this forum entertaining! Also a message can come off more harsh then it's meant to be compared to when it's said in person!

Will be interesting what the models show tonight

Honestly if it snow it snow this doesn't mean anything to me to the point where I am not going to get depressed or be on suicide watch over this. As far as Victoria goes snow is better than rain. This is the reality and I can't control the weather. It is what it is.

Carry on.

Well said. Though I think we are all interested in the weather in general, not just snow and arctic air. However, I think extreme weather drives our interest in the weather because its interesting, and stuff like snow and arctic air is unusual for our region, so its exciting when we get to track it. That said, I think regardless, we all have a general interest in the weather and meteorology itself.
