Not negative but not too optimistic. Big difference. Otherwise, risk of major disillusionment. Especially at a 10 day deadline.

Ensembles hinting at a prolonged period of chilly N/NWly flow. Been a while since we've seen a run of decent snowfalls with cold onshore flow in January...last occurrences were most likely in 2008 and 2002.

Might not see as much snow with a similar pattern today with ocean temperatures off our coast generally running 1-3C above average currently

I think I’d rather take a gamble at that type of pattern rather than a prolonged guaranteed cold but dry pattern.

Agreed.

Anyways, our recent cold/dry periods have all stemmed from backdoor blasts. I've just about seen enough of those at this point. :lol:
