Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Not negative but not too optimistic. Big difference. Otherwise, risk of major disillusionment. Especially at a 10 day deadline.

Don't worry, we are grown up who know how to handle disillusionment, and after all we are having fun, it's never done until starts falling from the sky.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 2:57 pm Not negative but not too optimistic. Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Ensembles hinting at a prolonged period of chilly N/NWly flow. Been a while since we've seen a run of decent snowfalls with cold onshore flow in January...last occurrences were most likely in 2008 and 2002.
Might not see as much snow with a similar pattern today with ocean temperatures off our coast generally running 1-3C above average currently

I think I’d rather take a gamble at that type of pattern rather than a prolonged guaranteed cold but dry pattern.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 4:07 pm Ensembles hinting at a prolonged period of chilly N/NWly flow. Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Agreed.
Anyways, our recent cold/dry periods have all stemmed from backdoor blasts. I've just about seen enough of those at this point.
