Some of our workers were stuck behind the highway closures last night coming back from Kamloops, not sure how late since l'm on my days off now. Safe to assume this was like the calm before the storm this last month or so on the mountain passes.
sorry guess l over posted.

My uncle used to drive truck. He hated the Coquihalla and would just take the canyon whenever he could.

30.0mm since midnight, storm total 58.6mm since Wednesday night. 131.6mm for the month in South Sardis, 4.7c currently lights winds still. Rumblings on the AF that the 06Z GFS was good in the long range.
The 6z was possibly heading somewhere good by about day 20. Not sure why people try to extrapolate off of the day 16 GFS. But some people are getting desperate to see a flake.

Yeah, afew of our drivers do a switch in Kamloops with drivers coming down from Enderby, so if they know ahead of time about highway closures they'll take the Canyon. We have drivers that run to Midway B.C. as well as up north to Hixon B.C. and up the Canyon to Cache Creek so I get all the weather conditions as well as temperatures when I'm at work which is fun sometimes. When the models were showing snow the last 2 weeks or so I kept warning them the shoe is about to fall. I'm sure when I head back to work on Sunday afternoon I'll hear all about it. It's nice we have a dedicated monitor cycling through all the highway cams in B.C. and Alberta. We also do runs from B.C. to Red Deer/Calgary, a couple state side to Washington as well.

LOL. On to #endOfJanuary #allOfFebruary.
Seriously, though, I think we will see more lowland snow at some point this winter.
