Damaging winds seems like quite a stretch. Perhaps I’m missing something. Looks like a typical SE wind fall/winter situation.

10C would be 4C above average; records high are between 12C to 14C for this time of year. Mild but not so warm.

Yeah I'm not sure what Russ is seeing in the models in terms of a widespread damaging wind storm. Looks like heavy rain though.

I think I would define record high as hot. The difference between Mild and warm is kind of semantics.

Meh. Still pretty typical December stuff, unless we see that baroclinic band lift further north that modeled. A pretty healthy Olympic rain shadow with the heaviest rain in NW Oregon up into central Washington. Probably 25-60mm over the next 3 days for the BC south coast. Perhaps more in the typical upslope areas.

Looks like 30-50 mm in total and some breezy winds mainly on Thursday night. Standard stuff...

Hehe, you know English is not my mother tongue, so I trust you about that! :D
Nevertheless, I think the "heat scale" is mild->warm->hot and I would not use hot in winter. Just my opinion and as you said, it's kind of semantics.

There's a tree near where I live and it's already blossomed white/pink flowers. No joke.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
