Ackshally, It's only July on coast! For most of the interior Spring is much, much drier than summer!SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 12:30 pm Definitely July for B.C. Glace any guesses which town burns down this year my money is on Yale or perhaps Boston Bar.![]()

Re: Random Stats
Shockingly surprised at how many midwest towns and eastern Canada and NE U.S. towns. But the only thing that is skewed is the actual humidex for Ontario l bet it doesn't feel like the Loops in July Glace.

For sure, humidity does change things up!SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 12:37 am Shockingly surprised at how many midwest towns and eastern Canada and NE U.S. towns. But the only thing that is skewed is the actual humidex for Ontario l bet it doesn't feel like the Loops in July Glace.![]()
Also, check out Whitehorse! Only 3 places in North America match July and January temperatures... and none of them are in the Yukon! Two are in Quebec!

Re: Random Stats
Nestled in the SE corner of B.C. Glace not sure of elevation but l presume they do well for snowfall like Revelstoke.

Re: Random Stats
The orange line is elevation. It's similar to Cranbrook, but gets more than 3 times the precipitation. At Elko highway 3 leaves the Kootenay Valley to head up the Elk Valley. In just 30 km the precipitation more than doubles. Then as you head further up the Elk valley to Sparwood, the precipitation drops by 50%! Crazy stuff how just in this one pocket in the valley there a done of rain and snow, but not so much below and above this point!SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 3:53 pm Nestled in the SE corner of B.C. Re: Random Stats
I would like to think I'm pretty knowledgeable about the climate, but I was today years old when I learned that July is NOT the month with the lowest relative humidity during the heat of the day!
The answer is May!
