Looks like Messi may be coming to BC Place for the Whitecaps CONCACAF champions league semi final game against Miami in a few weeks.
Also... team Canada will be hosting the opening game of the Gold Cup (cup that occurs every two years for the best north/central american + carribean nations -- last time Canada won was in 2000) at BC Place vs big rivals Honduras in mid June.

What happened during the 60s?
The one classic all-star goalie I can think of who was old by then is Jacques Plante.
Expansion plus face mask. Plus, a glut really good goalies born around the start of the Great Depression).
In the 1950s there were 6 goalies. No back-up. Then around 1960 teams started using 2 goalies. Then the leagued doubled in size in 1967. So essentially the number of goalies quadrupled so most of the elite goalies from the 1950s played until 1970 and beyond, including Glenn Hall, Jacques Plante (the only goalie in NHL history to get a shutout over the age of 44), Terry Sawchuk, Johnny Bower (who was the oldest player in the NHL longer than Gordie Howe was), and Gump Worsley.
Welp l guess got to wait till next season to see Q Hughes break Alex Edlers record. What a disaster season l'm glad it's over Puis Suter had a breakout season with 25 goals. Will Bess be back? I doubt it there will be changes. l like our D though will Petey bounce back lots of questions in the off season l hope this management addresses the issues. What about Chytil have concussions caught up with him see you all next season forum hockey fans.

Apparently there's going to be a historic Vancouver sports announcement coming next week. The city and province will be there. My guess is either a new Canucks practice facility OR the rumoured Whitecaps stadium.
