It's quite ridiculous how resilient the pattern has been. Troughing offshore with brief periods of amplification to give us a short break with a near steady vortex over Hudson Bay bringing more cold and snow to the Great Lakes. The one good news is the alpine snowpack is very healthy when it seemed like we would see a major melt a few weeks ago.
