NWS says showery weekend and snows for mtns. Then a ridge for 3 or 4 days followed by another snow producing mtn storm late next week. We'll take it buttees. It's a start..baby steps. At least mtns are getting snow

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Could Christmas at least not be rainy? Sunny with no snow is a good enough compromise. I also remember one Christmas back in the 90's that was foggy and cold... everything was coated in frost... it seemed like a White Christmas even if it wasn't.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Models are at least digging a massive trough which will bring some more Mountain snow next week.NPAC blocking looks to take hold by late Dec. This could bring a drying by xmas week.
I would peg the chances of a White Christmas at less than 5%...just see no pattern bringing lowland snow. I like the chances of a dry christmas though.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Unfortunately it's a tad warm and it's mixed rain/snow at the base area. Snow level seems to be about 150m above the base at Cypress. Snowing on most of the mountain though.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!
