No longer in operation, but they have just a cheap household thermometer inside the Stevenson Screen, but no ECCC thermometers. Paint is flaking off really bad. I should have taken a picture of the inside.
Probably cheaper for ECCC to just leave it be there than take it away.

That's a classic Glace, bit of TLC a new paint job good to go rain gauge looks salvageable 1970's era equipment probably very accurate beer can on the post.
Whistler is far too close to the trees. Lillooet is good for temperature, but I see no anemometer and no proper gauge for measure winter precipitation like we see here...

Far too close to the trees... and the road. Moreover, the Stevenson screen is in very bad condition. Actually, there are 2 stations in Whistler: WAE operated by NAVCAN and VOC operated by ECCC. You can see the small shelter on the right of my last photo above.

Yep, no anemometer in Lillooet and only a "regular" rain gauge. But good location.

Yes Lillooet is good perhaps to close to the cement road and grass needs to be badly cut.
Whistler is a joke it use to be up at Alta lake up the mountain l visted the station during a grade 7 field trip to our teachers cabin l stumbled upon it when we were allowed to venture around the property it was just down the road.
That's a memory l'll never forget having a desire for meteorology the station was manned and observer showed me around.
Obs were taken from 6a.m. until 10 or 11p.m. now it's automated and inaccurate.

One of BC's coldest weather stations and the highest elevation weather station in the province at over 1600m: Yoho Park

Confirmed. Temperature and precipitation can now be seen from the road thanks to the widening...

Clinton update. I drove by the station yesterday... Looks like some instruments were moved around... Also, security cameras set up.

What's that Glace the leaning tower of wind what a horrible job of setting that up. over all the main instruments are more exposed so that's a plus.

Are you talking about the tower for measuring wind? I think it's just that my camera was tilted

Ya l wondered that Glace but great they improved the overall re positioning of the instruments away from the tree line. There's many other stations in B.C. that need to be relocated from tree'd areas West Vancouver just to name one as well as several Drive B.C. road side weather stations that are in horrible locations and not accurate l'm sure.
