Re: CKNW 730
We will never hear the NW98 Jingles again, or the Traffic 730 Jingles again.

Re: CKNW 730
The iconic jingle 73CKLG or just CKLG lives on in my mind.
Growing up when l heard this jingle it gave me goosebumps knowing Christmas was around the corner. They still use this iconic jingle today.

Re: CKNW 730
Yes, Radio lost a large part of it's identity when they stopped using jingles. Cheap corporate radio 101.
Remember when News1130 had jingles? That was cool.

Re: CKNW 730
Yes 60's through 80's were some awesome jingles on our local stations. If you were able to hear out of town stations most of them used the same jingle packages like CFAX 1070 Victoria would sound like a CKWX jingle.

KJR and KING were big Casey Kadam American Top 40 or Saturday morning the CKLG top 30 count down. I use to try for Alberta stations CFCN 1060 or 1260 CFRN Edmonton.

Re: CKNW 730
I used to be able to pull in AM106 and 630CHED at night on clear nights in the summer.
My parents took us camping to Shuswap often and I remember pulling in LG73 on the car radio at night as well.
Fun times!
