East gets progressively colder as the Hudson Vortex pushes south. Was saying mid-late Dec was the best shot of seeing noreasters. Still sticking to that. Anywhere betweeb Toronto-Boston-New York could be ground zero for massive winter storms.

One noticable I see is that Australia just torches until next month. ECMWF op had a 50+C reading on Wed and Thurs!
So winter cancel?

Really haven't had much rain down this way yet today, but the Aldergrove radar indicates that's about to change.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Forrest Gump wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2019 1:09 pm Funny how that all works , yesterday at this time it was around +5 down here yet raining on grouse , now it's +9 at my place and snowing on grouse.
The general rule of thumb at one time used to be the 5 degree difference rule between sea level and local mountains.
Well buttee..its usually 2c less for every 1000 feet. BUTT, lol, during warm fronts throw that rule out the window. It could be 1c here and raining for 24 hours, and raining up to 3500 or even 4500 feet too. Of course it would be cold rain in Abby almost everytime anyways

Those rumours must have been untrue , been watching ctv news and no mention of that whatsoever. Citing family reasons but we all know it was party pressure for losing to the very beatable Teflon Man.

There was a statement issued an hour later that it was actually a part of his deal to have some money used to subsidize the difference of costs. Global made us all believe Scheer did something criminal.

"Statement from the Conservative Party. Party President says he personally made the offer to Scheer to cover costs of moving his family from Regina to Ottawa and that it included costs associated with schooling."

In a public statement announcing his decision to resign as leader, Scheer did not address the concerns raised by those party sources to Global News. His office says the suggestion that his resignation is linked to the issue of private school reimbursement is false.

Scheer attributed the decision to the strains of his public duties on his family.

Where there is a future, there is hope..from the NWS an hour ago..

Ensembles do show the large scale pattern shifting later in the
week(next week) as the upper level ridge shifting eastward possibly setting
the stage for a bit more active weather.
