Even the 50's and 60's had some dud winters. It is what it is. At least the clown range has some more active weather potential.
Snowfall-wise, the 1910s and 1920s combined were better than the 1950s and 1960s.

This winter is absolutely, frustratingly, baffling. One of my least favorite winters was the winter of 1991/92. We had some cold weather and snow at the end of October. The rest of the winter was very mild and very wet. However, that year was a record el Nino. This year, the tea leaves favored something cooler. Yet here we are. Where I live, we haven't had any widespread frost, this year. It seems to be house to house. That is even more unusual. Overall mild winters are not uncommon, but the lack of frost is concerning.

1933-34: Only two freezes recorded in Victoria (Dec 15 & 16) for the entire cold season.

This winter has been seasonably cool with not a lot of variation. Fortunately it looks like La Nina is starting to get her act together.

Yeah doesn't sound like something E L Tropical would post Flakes although the Knuckleheads beat the Oil lids 3 - 2 on hockey day in Canada so anythings possible but again it's 6 days away.
