Re: January 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
The hype on the AF's from a few days ago has successfully vanished. Look at the upcoming pattern. Dud winter anyone?

Like the Knuckles playoffs chances fading away even aJT Thriller trade won't save this season.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Re: January 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
It's not the worst pattern for sunshine the next week or so. The thing that sucks is the probable return to wet and seasonal with higher freezing levels by early Feb.
The quality of snow on the local hills really blows.

Yeah, nothing to write home about and well within the parameters of seasonable cold.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 12:49 pm
Thank you Goose. So it's 3c lower than seasonal, hmmmm.
It is nice to see frost at least to make things feel a bit wintry.

We were probably due for a dud. Let's get it over with now! I know that's not how things work, but it is what it is.

Even the 50's and 60's had some dud winters. It is what it is. At least the clown range has some more active weather potential.

I'm also seeing some Atmospheric River and windstorm potential in the clown range. It's also beautiful and frosty here today.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 12:47 pm It's not the worst pattern for sunshine the next week or so. It's funny to see models churn out long forecasts like this.
Based off the CFS.
Based off ECMWF weeklies.
