You know its a really crappy winter when...
Monty's Ridge, HawksHill and Catnip Hill have a combined season snowfall of <5cm on January 15 and also
#bringonMay2025
That’s what I like about this forum… instead of getting mean and bitter about a mild winter, folks here laugh about it.
It’s gonna be mild (or not) whether you laugh about it (or not), after all. And, who knows, maybe February will deliver again.

Gotta laugh about it Rubes. At the end of the day it’s out of our control! Much more important things to be bitter about in life.

Definitely trending towards a back door set up. Not sure that would get us any precip but some frozen ponds.
Anything is better than this damn %#$& drizzle!!!!!!!!

It may be super dry but this does bode very well for February if you want cold and snow.

Remember, folks: a snowier, wetter and slightly colder than average winter was forecasted... 100% wrong.
That’s forecasted nearly every year that’s not an El Niño. We need to start ignoring seasonal forecasts a long time ago.

One thing is sure...we are going to be in an incredible dry stretch after today. Maybe some drizzle Sunday but all models are showing a very dry signal the rest of the month.

Exactly. Although I tried to be rational and ignore it, this kind of seasonal forecast still got me a bit excited, to be honest. And see what we are getting so far, not even a single snowflake in the air, let alone any accumulation on the ground. This winter is just a joke.
It has been a crappy winter thus far, however a couple good things right now.
1) ensembles are showing some possibilities as head toward FEB. Perhaps some dry/cool weather as we get brushed by the arctic airmass to our East, and then things shift west and we turn colder.
2) #FEB has a decent track record of delivering some winter weather. We have #climo on our side!
OR maybe we’ll get more &@#% drizzle.
