Re: December 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
Pretty meh but we'd take it at this point. I suspect it's an outlier and we torch... right up until our historic January 1-Feb 30 cold snap.

Re: December 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
We'll have to keep an eye on this one. Last Christmas, we had a wind warning. The power went out just as I pulled the turkey out of the oven.

I don’t know why but the site would just constantly log me out so I’d have to sign back in like every 5 minutes and it just got annoying to use. Hopefully it doesn’t do that anymore.

Re: December 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
I think odds are high we see at least one windstorm over the next 10 days.
Starting to see signs of the jet stream retracting towards the new year. Ridge probably incoming and we wait for retrogression sometime in January

Too bad we'll be going through yet another year without a cold January. 1993 gets further and further back in the rearview mirror.

Yea. We’ve seen some okay January events but they seem to be surrounded by warmth. I don’t see this January being any different.

even the 06z GFS has no hope, and confirms the previous runs of rainstorm after rainstorm for us thru the end of the month .

Re: December 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
Is this something that could affect the whole lower mainland area if it were to happen? Thank you!
