And today gas went up to $1.73 even though there was no rise in oil to justify it, just artificially inflating the numbers again. This should be illegal!

Day before yesterday, oil was at a low last seen in 2021, during the pandemic. Yet the pump prices have failed to reflect that. Article in news yesterday said pump prices should be falling, yet no change. NOW, oil went up today and guess what also went up?? WHAT A SCAM! Canadians put up with this because they are pushovers. So pathetic. This is when government needs to get involved because this is true collusion and gouging.

I was gonna say the same thing regarding oil prices. Gas actually went up a few pennies the other day to $1.78, lol but not funny. And you know how they always say in late spring how the gas prices will skyrocket in summer due to increased driving ? Well, summer is over, shouldn't prices be falling off a cliff?
Prices should probably be $1.50 or less. The gouging continues, or like Kamala Harris says, gauging, and then breaks into laughter..lol

I filled up my Jetta in Kamloops, drove down the canyon, hopped on the ferry over to Victoria, drove around victoria, up to Duncan, back to Victoria.

At this point I had driven 800km and was getting low on diesel, but then I saw the price on the Island! So I kept driving, and filled up in Chillwack for 167.9. Only had 7 litres left in my 55 litre tank. I can normally go about 1000km before filling up.

Yes, I just spend $4000 doing an engine swap after my oil pan hit a rock, and the car was run without oil, but in just 2 years I'll save more than that in fuel compared to my other vehicles.

After my engine swap, I've been getting 5.4l/100km (44 mpg). It's not as good as a modern hybrid, but for a 19 year old car, not bad at all.

I have not noticed recently. They seem to be steady with the usual gouging during the day and a bit lower at night.

Pattern I've noticed recently... prices always rise sharply midweek, then decline slowly until they reach their lowest point around Monday, before rising again. The typical swing for this pattern is around 20 cents.

So, at 96 Ave & 160th St there is a Chevron on one corner and a Husky on the other. Chevron bought the Husky and it's now a Chevron. Guess what? When it was Husky, they would always go 1 cent cheaper than Chevron, and they would have cheaper gas than the Esso at the Tynehead park area at 96th & 168th St. NOW, both Chevrons have the same price always, and are now equally high as the Esso down the street.

This highlights the NEED for competition as this is not only going on with gas stations, but with nearly everything in Canada. Proof is so easy to see yet we keep getting screwed!

Gas has been 133.9 at the Centexes in Mission since Sunday night. It's 135.9 at Chevron and Petro-Can.
