I don't think I want that much rain, but having active stormy weather is better than having a lot of ridging for a cold snowy winter, I think.

Are we now going to get a #patternlock for ~2 months of stormy rains? :think:
Maybe that will set us up for an amazing snowy Dec 2024
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Hopefully not. Thankfully, that run is unlikely to verify. While it looks like a potential Atmospheric River, the GEM often overdoes precipitation totals. Further, there were other factors that led to the November 2021 flooding such as snow melt. That shouldn't be an issue this early in the season. :thumbup:

With apologies to the Longest Johns, I have constructed this little ditty in honour of the up coming season of models, hopes and disappointments:

The models showed us a hurricane; a weather bomb, with torrential rain;
The wind died down and the sun came out- the forecast failed again!

Chorus:
Hey! hey! the weatherman come,
to give us forecasts of rain and sun;
He is rarely on the ball
So take your maps and go.
