One more warm and humid period to go later this week. Then summer will likely be over. Welcome fall rains  :raindrip:

Long pants? Winter jacket? Was it really that cold up there?
Those are light pants. No cold but about 12 degrees at the top but a strong wind. Jacket came off when I got away from the top.

Absolutely stunning shots guys that one from Cheam peak looked insane you wouldn't find me venturing out that far, that drop would have hurt a little. :wtf:

It is the season for hiking, it seems! We did an epic 14 hour day hiking down the west branch of the Homathko valley and back last week. We went down to check out my dad's trapline and see if any of the cabins survived the last September's forest fire.

Nope, the fire burned from alpine to alpine on both sides of the valley. If we would have hiked up to 2112 meters, we would have been standing on a massive glacier, at least if we did so further west (Mount Waddington is 24 km to the west of where we were).

Yes, as a matter of fact a lot of them!
It's called clown range for a reason.

That’s beautiful! I could do 700 m gain, easier than the Eaton Lake trail. Pity you apparently need 4WD to reach the trailhead.

Another good (but challenging) one is The Lions. Did it a few years ago... think the elevation gain was about 1300m.

What I did last 30 days:

- Slesse Mountain
- Berg Lake (Tricouni)
- Pendant, Spearpoint, Reflection & Tricouni Lakes
- Flora Peak [1,285 m elevation gain in 6.5 km]
- Tenquille Lake & Finch Ridge
