September 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
This is the month of plenty of starts: School, Hockey pre-season gets under way and Fall! Will this be a stormy month or will it be a tame month? We'll see!

Also the start of the cool down and non-stop rains..maybe. We will see. Based on past several weeks, my call is the same mixed bag...some rains..some sun...but lack of any sustained #patternlock other than the mixed bag. Also no excessive heat. Not this year buttees!stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 7:21 am This is the month of plenty of starts: School, Hockey pre-season gets under way and Fall! And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

Saint Marks Summit (between Cypress and The Lions) yesterday around 10am, looking west:
Noticeably cooler at the peak (1350m) than at the base of Cypress (850m).

Thanks Typer, I've been wondering how long a dry spell we'd have.
Amazing photo! So beautiful.

You can almost see Roberts Creek from up there (that's Gibsons in the distance).

Just a gorgeous insane shot Thike, just curious is that Boyer small island in the fore ground with Bowen far left.? You can also see the Langdale ferry dock way off in the distance, the mountain towering over Gibsons sure looks different when your higher up you can't even recognize it.

No spectacular mountain shots like Typing and Rubs, but what’s likely to become a family tradition: Friday evening at Birchwood Dairy prior to the start of school.
We’re hoping to go to Mt Baker this Saturday as that ridge still is holding.

Mount Cheam hike from last week. 700 meters gain. Summit elevation of 2112m. Was even a bit of snow hanging on from earlier in the week.
