Over 45,000 rock fans in Empire Stadium at the P.N.E. to see Bob Welsh, Nick Gilder, Little River Band and Heart at the once legendary 'Summer Sunday' Concerts series on August 27th, 1978. Supertramp headlined the very next year's Summer Sunday Concert in 1979.

When country music goes power metal you get a brilliant masterpiece. Check out Tommy Johanssons's epic cover of "Take me home, Country Roads" by John Denver. This is such a cool and unique composition, especially with the banjo. Overall, it's well worth a listen.

Have you heard of The Hindley Street Country Club from Australia? Discovered them a few months ago. Apparently the world's best cover band, some think even better than the real thing. I think they've now done well over a hundred songs. They have quite a deep pool of talented singers to choose from depending on the song. What I don't understand is if they all live in the same area.

Wow! They really ARE that good! Impressive! Makes me long for the days of this type of pop music. Everything today is fake.
I like Coldplay, as they are a real band and their music is somewhat similar to U2, but they've already been around for a while. There's the odd song I don't mind out there but today's music definitely lacks the talent, richness, depth, and brilliance of the musicians and songs of yesteryear. I have absolutely no idea what people see in Taylor Swift, to me it's garbage.

I love Coldplay's first 2-3 albums but for me they got away from that and went towards that "Para-Para-Paradise" style which is less substance and more of that low effort, arena sensibility pop that I just can't stand unfortunately. But yeah their first few albums are absolutely brilliant and I will never stop listening to them.

No comment/opinion on my previous post regarding HSCC?
Yeah, that Heart cover is fire. Very interesting. Reminds me of a band called Scary Pockets that does funk covers of big hits and has a variety of singers join them.

Listening to their Foreigner mix video atm on my tv surround sound, man are they good.
The bald guy base player is one of the two co-founders, he's the boss and does all the arrangements and picks the singers which he thinks are best suited for the song. The other co-founder is one of the keyboard guys.

Glad you showed me these guys. Tiny Dancer is one of my favourites and I found their wicked cover of it last night. I also enjoyed their Fleetwood Mac covers. The Live and Let Live was chef's kiss too! Dang!!
