looks to be rather unstable in Southern BC today..especially over the mountains

And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

lol We haven’t had any smoke this year unless you count a little bit we had yesterday and last year wasn’t very smoky either the three before that on the other hand, we’re very smoky

Are you talking about significant smoke waves in your back yard or just in general? This year hasn't been as bad yet *knocks on wood*

My dew point was 18-19C at that time. It was a muggy evening but the model overdid it.

In relation to pre-2015 this would be considered significant. Of course since then we've had years where we can barely breathe for two weeks which makes this seem tame, but there is clearly and visibly smoke at the upper levels which prior to 2015 was highly rare. Luckily it has not reached the lower levels and hopefully it stays that way.
