Arrived in Whistler at noon, very pleasant day, 20° with no sign of any rain. Saw revenge of the western tadpole at Lost Lake.

Then went back later for the evening bite. Caught 7 rainbows.

Well at least we got some much needed rain the past couple days. Looks like the heat is going to locked in place for the foreseeable future.

That's absolutely insane Jr. Man but once again good call. Our backseat heat miser Cmen69 is on board with another never ending heat hump as well.  but can we induce a Tstorm into it at some point. :shifty:

2nd wettest day in 60 years AND daily record..not bad Gooseman 😏
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Yes. And also note the following winter we got hammmerd with snow when we shouldnt have really. This year is a Nina  and we will see how the snows play out by March

It's totally legitimate. The next day two stations rose 38 and 37 degrees to the east (Big Creek and Tautri Creek). -30 to +8 and -38 to -1 respectively. Both of these stations are over 1100m elevation.

It often Chinooks in the west one day, but takes a day to east the eastern part of the Chilcotin. Tautri Creek, northwest of Alexis Creek was -44 the morning Tatla Lake was -43. Then rose to -17, then down to -38, and finally up to -1.

Tatla lake rose to 0, and then only dropped to -9 on the morning of the 6th before rising to +2.

As the 2nd graph shows below, the lower elevation locations were filled with cold air that cannot be pushed out as easily as places up on the plateau.

This was a POWERFUL storm that even caused the temperature Bella Coola to rise 27 degrees in a single day! It also dumped over 100mm of rain in a single day (plus all the snow and rain from the day before when it was -17)!

It's amazing really how 100mm plus can dump on the west side of the mountains, and places right up against the coast mountains like Tatla Lake had absolutely nothing! Anahim Lake did get 6 cm of snow on the 7th and Kleena Kleene did have a trace.

Chilcotin River is totally blocked because of that massive rainstorm this week that has caused a mudslide...

Every single second 200+ cubic meters of water are added to the lake behind the slide. They figure that in 48 hours, she blows.... https://www.facebook.com/share/v/sCY4mgYxpr2KfAkv/
