Glacier wrote: Sun Jul 28, 2024 7:42 pm It's interesting how Highwood Pass at 2200 m still has trees. Even here in the Okanagan there are no trees at that elevation! Treeline goes up as you go east in BC because of warmer summers at a given elevation.

Speaking of warm, how about this...

It was odd seeing that and the lack of snow/glaciers when traveling along that route given much of it is at similar elevations -- and even higher at the pass -- than the Hwy 93 route (Icefields parkway) between Lake Louise and Jasper.

Looks like an unusually large late July rain event in the Lower Mainland today.

it's been a problem for me since February, I get the odd day where I stay logged in but otherwise I log in every time, despite clicking the "stay logged in" box. only site that does it too so not my computer as far as I can tell.

The 4 hottest days in recorded history happened last week!

It appears my upcoming trip to Kelowna will be very hot, probably mid 30's I'm guessing.

brrrr! 35 is COLD! It's below average!

Lytton, Osoyoos, and Lillooet are averaging above 35 this month, although, the average will drop a little by the end of the month.

Sometimes the NWS radar doesn't work very good. It is definitely raining outside and it has been non stop this morning.
