Yesss!!! Happy for Paul Maurice, paid his dues, and happy for classy fin Barkov, Luongo, Okposo, Sam Reinhart , Paul Reinhart, Forsling, and the guy who's still on the Canucks payroll, OEL- Money for Nothing and Cups for Free. June 24 and the season is finally over.

Personally, I feel that letting Zadorov go to free agency was a bad idea. In my opinion, he is underrated by many and therefore, I don't think giving him a 6/6 deal would have been overpaying. You need a guy like him in the playoffs. The Canucks may take a step back next season if they can't replace him. That said, I don't know what management has planned come free agency, so maybe it will all work out for the best. Time will tell.

I think Zadorov disappears for parts of the regular season, maybe that's why most have him slotted as a 5/6 defenceman. Those defensemen can usually be had for under $3M per. Not really thrilled with Petey's contract either, but he definitely needs better offensive players to play with as Sardineman alluded to.
