I wonder if Ken Holland will make the cup available to the general public in Vernon if the Oil hoist it. He did that in ‘02. I was living in Kelowna at the time and visited Lord Stanley’s mug. All GMs make some stinker deals (cough,cough Jack Campbell). But in Holland’s case he made some great signings (Hyman) and cleaned up a dumpster fire. Business acumen aside, it says something about character to return to your humble home town to forfeit much of your day with the mug to give it to the public. Canucks fans, if you want a chance to see and touch the mug, the Oil need to thump Florida.

Come to think of it, my son and I have already touched and took photos with the Stanley Cup and its keeper, must've been during the 2010 Olympics when it/they were in town. Unfortunately I can't find the photos, took them with my old Captain Kirk flip phone and must've forgotten to transfer them over. Hmm, I wonder if I still have the phone somewhere..
