A classic West Coast astronomical event special.
26.7 mm yesterday IMBY. Sort of disappointed to see that Mt. Seymour is only reporting 20 cm in the past 24 hours. Would have expected about twice that much up there.

Yesterday was truly delightful.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 7:25 am A classic West Coast astronomical event special.

I hope you enjoyed it. Models have trended way drier now. The dry Spring that was forecast is coming. Looks mostly sunny for weeks starting this weekend. It sort of looks like spring 1995, or 2004 at this point, going forward.
Would have been nice to get a huge late season dump. South coast snowpack are at 56%. Stage 1 water restrictions are coming on May 1st in anticipation of a hot and dry summer. I think that is all but a given now, a new normal.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 7:25 am A classic West Coast astronomical event special.

That's definitely going to be just the new normal going forward.Coquitlam79 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 2:32 pm Would have been nice to get a huge late season dump. South coast snowpack are at 56%. Yes summer shorts are washed and ready.
I’m patiently waiting for next fall.
Back in the day, as a teenager, I used to like heat waves even tho I hated the heat. Back then, they were shorter and more tolerable. Now tho they last forever, and even when they do subside, it's a very slow cool, and temperatures drag out in the 26 to 29c range with no real crash back to "normal."
I'm patiently waiting for the #feetz of snow that will bury us next winter.
