I’ll believe it when I see it, although by mid-March we are usually due for some temperatures like that.
It's called clown range for a reason.

We had a trace of snow early this morning. Had some rain showers when I posted that.

Can see some clearing towards the South! Should get sunny

Picked up a couple cms this morning.

I've recorded snow in the last 4 months (Dec - March) which is a decent achievement during this El Heato.

Other than Jan, the totals have been pretty meh though.

Scoreboard update:
:cancel: Climo 81 (81 days in meteorological winter without any of: snow or high<0 or low<-10)
:14clown: GFS 44 (cm of snow IMBY + days with high<0 or low<-10)

This ought to be it barring further surprise slushfalls over the next couple evenings, but I think we can safely say :cancel: won this winter.
:14clown: got a moral victory by scoring an unexpectedly high number.

Note: Climo can no longer score because it is now March and not meteorological winter

2024-25 season stats:
Climo :cancel: 0 to 0 :14clown: GFS

Season total: 1 trace (Teflon on Nov 18)

Would have been a crazy few days if the trough axis had shifted East and not dug so much. Models suggest one last shower late tomorrow into early Monday as the trough disintegrates.

North Shore mountains has seen 20-30cm in the past day.

Today looks good for hail and snow pellets in the Valley due to mid day convection.

Chilliwack Lake!

Also see Comox-Campbell River is getting hit.

I got up to pee around 4:30 and it was snowing. Was winding up at 5:30 so I measured it. 1 cm.
