Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Given what the other models are saying (other than the gfs) I’m going to have to assume the euro is way off and a couple marginal slush falls is what we’re getting.

Even a little accumulating slush would be an astounding success. Welcome to my March jinx.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Cypress had 28cm at the base since yesterday and at 10 pm it was 10cm so 18cm overnight. The snow stake was finally cleared at 7 AM. Since then 1cm more

Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
It was raining heavily at points this morning and windy. There was some slush on the ground but nothing really that much. This was a borderline snow event and the ground wasn't pre-frozen.

Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Added my slushy cm to the seasonal totals.
There is hope for scoring another slushy cm or two on Friday, assuming I am still in Bellingham then and not in Vancouver to keep the snow away. Otherwise probably it for the season.

Base was all slushy and had clearly seen rain for a few hours.
Absolute winter wonderland up on Black Mountain.

Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
GFS and GEM doesn't bring much moisture up here after today. Looks like we may need to rely on convective activity to bring some flurries. Most energy goes into Central/Southern Oregon. GEM has a shot of snow on Monday.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 9:18 am Added my slushy cm to the seasonal totals.

I have. It shows a lot of precip but much of it will be light or convective in nature.
It's a good recipe for hail, snow, heavy downpours and thunderstorms but not really conducive for sticking snows.

Huge difference between Agassiz and Abbotsford. +0.6 at Agassiz and 8.5 at Abbotsford.
