Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
I know Stormer was hoping for some decent snows up in Whistler.
Might be waiting a while.
Brutal.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Might not happen at all.
Chilly signals for early Feb but there appears to be zero arctic air in play with a dry split flow developing. I suspect the 1st half will be chilly and dry before turning mild and dry by mid month.
Could see SSW by early March

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Agreed. I think we are done with the arctic air and snow for this winter. Hopefully next winter produces with a crash to La Niña.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:13 pm Might not happen at all.

I think February will be dry and we will get the rain buckets back in March, similar to 2003.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:13 pm Might not happen at all.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Plus 10c at mid-mtn at Cypress on Tues. Copious amounts of rain from Fri evening through middle of next week. All at high freezing levels. The ski season is looking like a write off unless they can make some snow in a cooler, drier pattern for early Feb. Brutal.

Hey Bono, how is your Tempest? Seems many people have been having issues with theirs.
