Not a big Rolling Stones fan, but of all the hits they had I think Angie was their best work. Maybe similar to Foreigner, a lot of good up tempo hits, but the slower "I Wanna know what Love is " probably their best.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 1:11 am Wow! lots of memories here from my early childhood in elementary school to my first crush in high school.

Ah man, another one gone great tunes from this Canadian band April Wine during my high school days. Santa Maria, Were Here For A Good Time, You Won't Dance With Me and so many more.
Myles Goodwyn, frontman for Canadian band April Wine, dead at 75. Myles Goodwyn, the founding singer of the Canadian band April Wine, died Sunday, according to his publicist. He was 75. No cause of death was given.

Wow, just came across this epic power metal cover of Jim Steinman's song "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Yes, power metal and the 80's does mix very well in my opinion. Check out this amazing rendition of an oldies classic.

Re: Music
Wow! Just wow! Tommy Johanssons vocals are absolutely breathtaking. I've loved power metal for many years and one reason is the vocals. I've grown to really appreciate the skill it takes to sing that style and I love the sound. Check out this brilliant cover of the song "You Raise Me Up." It's epic!
The vocals are literally so powerful I bet they could unleash the arctic into the PNW.

Vocal and lyrics, about as close to perfection as you can get, goose bumps worthy.

Re: Music
Finally managed to release our album which was recorded more than a half a decade ago. We are playing it at the wise hall next Saturday! Eff these health issues, I’m playing music if It kills.
These songs are much better blasted through speakers or headphones, as with all music.
