Yes, she's got a 45 minute delay because of the 3 hour delay of the same plane yesterday. They had some de-icing issues I think

January 1971. 100cm+ of snow in Vancouver in just over four days.moonshadow0825 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 12:47 pm Nothing here yet, temp is dropping slowly +0.4C but DP is -4.4C
hopefully we see something soon.
regarding snow days, at the risk of aging myself, Vancouver had a few in the early 70's.
I can recall 1 or 2 when my kids were in school but iirc, one was announced because they hadn't the week before when we got dumped on, so did it for a skiff of snow the next week, it was a weird reason
imho, they did the snow day today anticipating chaos on the commute home.

I must say this snow downtown is also rather Teflon, but probably for the better because otherwise it's just immediate gridlock.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
It is. Still not a major snowstorm or anything. Hoping to eke out a few cm so I can post a totals update on the AF and inspire some more envy.
It's called clown range for a reason.
