Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
EC still calling for “up to 20 cm†and most are already reporting more than that.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Like that's big for sea level
Seems 15-30 cm was the right call
Gotta love set ups that don’t rely on elevation.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
23 cm for me so far in Newton. Strangely only 15 cm on Cypress so far and the snow measuring board only shows 10 cm.
Some potential in the long range for cold again. Big Yukon high, but need better blocking.

Damn!
What a glorious day!
T: -2.1
DP: -4
My parents sent some video from Sardis moments ago and it's a legit blizzard. Snow drifts, blowing snow, low visibility. So cool!
I have not measured yet, but looks like 20 something for sure. Will check later.
Hwy #1 covered. Still people out on the roads.
Webcams not updating correctly.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
This has been a very impressive winter event for a strong El Niño. Most likely many areas will record 7-8 consecutive sub freezing days. This snowstorm is an added bonus. Nobody would have expected this back in December. Just an incredible surprise. My parents told me happy birthday and merry Christmas at the same time. They know how much I love this weather. What an amazing winter treat.
