I told my friends a fairly conservative (for our forum) 15-30 because I also figured it would outperform EC's estimate.

Heaviest snowfall rate I have seen is around 8cm/hr and that was pretty insane.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I find that suspect. Everything around there is around -0.3c to -0.6c at the moment.

I almost hit that with 7.5cm in one hour during the Dec 2021 storm. Needed orange radar and low temps for high ratios to achieve that.

Is something wrong at YVR? They haven't updated since 8AM and I refuse to believe it's still light snow there with visibility of 1.0 km

Could hit 9" when all is said and done.

Definitely an overperformer with the ratios

Hello from Harrison Mills! I just measured and I'm at 17 cm although its pretty windy here so not sure how accurate that is. Temperature just dropped to -3 with a - 4.5 dew point. I gotta say with the wind and intense snow at the moment, I would put this very very close to the top of my favourite snow storms so far!

Funny you say that. It should reach up to +18C this afternoon across the border.

Glad to see it's not raining there yet.

Enjoy the snowfall!

We speak about November 2006. I was living near Tynehead back then...I have never seen it snow like it did that night. It was not only heavy but the flakes were massive.
