Welcome Erikdv! Great pic. Always nice to see snow pictures, especially local ones.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Big mountain snows always seem to be 7-10 days out this season unfortunately. Snow levels will likely hover around 1300-1500m this week which is a touch too high for the lower and mid mountain levels on the north shore.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 7:28 pm T3 l didnt check models today any carrots or mountain snow coming up.

Lots of rain this week along the north shore. I think Grouse and Cypress will be closing before the end of the week. For how long? Who knows.

Yeah the 00z GFS doesn't look too encouraging in the mid range. Blocking returns with a ridge overhead.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 8:03 pm Lots of rain this week along the north shore. I think Grouse and Cypress will be closing before the end of the week. For how long? Who knows.

Split flow, ridging, split flow, ridging. Few brushes with continental air and brief rainy spells but this has been the default setup for 2 months now. Atmosphere is stuck in a +ENSO state.
