Falling faster than last night and clear. Might have a better shot at -10 than last night.

But it is the GFS, not the regional map. Hard to trust with the typical GFS terrain bleed like the GEM.

Edit: Which dumps more snow over us. Yawn...
Best stop hoping for pineapples. Our mountains really need snowpack. Not interested in another year of smoke. Last year wasn't too bad.

Long range models show developing heights over the GOA by late month. February will deliver something good. Even if it's just a Mountain snow pattern.

But of course for our sake I hope Wednesday is as snowy as the RGEM
Or they just could just stay home

Still 2 degrees warmer than yesterday. Temps didn't fall much yesterday as the upper atmosphere warmed. Dropping at 0.8 degrees per hour, a little too fast to sustain I think.

Feb and March are usually good for the mountains, but we are behind here, need to catchup.

On Grouse yesterday, I think if there wasn't snow management and snow making there would be limited success in skiing. A 2ft base doesn't work well on steep runs, mind you there isn't much of anything steep on the local mountains.

I'm leaning toward an ice storm or rain. My gut feeling is we may see a pretty bad ice storm in the valley, which wouldn't be good.

Currently -7.5c after a high of -2.7c.

3 days of below freezing highs... not bad.
