Man, this has been one lame November. Where were our November storms? No wind warnings? No rain storms? No flooding? No cold..

Although, I'm at my coldest temp right now since the so called arctic air arrived.

Temp -1.7
Dewpoint -12
Humidity 46%

Had a high of 7.6 today.

If we follow that script into the new year, we'd be easily looking at our coldest January in a couple decades...Jan 1980 averaged 0.5C in Vancouver, 0.1C in Pitt Meadows and -0.1C in Abbotsford.

Yea. That was solid in the models for a good 10 days. Maybe the odd waffling operational but not much.

I wonder why there was so much consistency with the models back then whereas now they often struggle run to run?

I don’t know about what the models said, but looking back at my employer records I see that the first day of snow was December 17 in 2008

In 2016 December 5 was the first day of snow.
I don’t know about you..... but I definitely remember what followed those years.
December 4 was the first freeze!

Well Mr. Typeing Hat trick , you've been beating the January drum pretty good  , not sure if the odds are with you or against you :?
Maybe in the year 2525 , if Sardineman is still alive.
