:wtf:  Not this again the yearly ridiculous and insane models are back then comes the watered down version followed by disappointment for all the weather weenies on our forum and downright suicidal posts on the A.F. however much more entertaining than Rock'n New Years eve with someone who's been dead for years.

I’m actually glad to see it. Based on just about every cold snap in the past decade, if there is a cold snap this time there will be backpedalling in the models. Ridiculous cold gives a margin for the backpedalling to happen while it still being cold enough to get the goods. And the AF can still get their fix for collectively whining about the big bustaroni. Wins all around!
It's called clown range for a reason.

Ya, I'm the first to vehemently defend a realistic cold solution ( just ask wetcoast, lol), but seriously, in a decaying, moderate/strong El Nino, it's just not logical. Having said that, the rapidly changing climate, does leave room for weirdness.

Dry and chilly is nice! Allows the mountains to make some :flakey:

Thinking future runs will plop that ridge right over us though.

You could be right, but we could also score a couple of surprise snowfalls. It wouldn't take much.

Give me a little bit of snow and then some fake cold. I think that's all this winter is capable of delivering at this point. I would love to be wrong though.
