I can't believe that McDavid was complaining about the Canucks running up the score, man, what a crybaby. Did he forget this is the NHL, and not peewee house league? Did he forget they were playing the lowly Canucks, who blew a big lead to them last year? Maybe they should've been better prepared ,instead of whining. Tomorrow's rematch is gonna be verrry interesting.

Well the Oil drips definitely dominating tonight tied 3-3 going into the 3rd DeSmith looks good.
Way to many penalties for the Kanhooks to be taking against this 2 headed monster team.
Edit: 4-3 Kanhacks final l can't believe what l just saw absolutely stunning DeSmith was outstanding wow! and they killed off a 5 on 3 penalty for 52 seconds.

What I really liked about tonights game was that despite being outplayed, I don't recall a single give up moment.

They battled hard and the effort was there for the full 60 minutes. Playing against McDavid and Draisaitl isn't easy especially when they are coming off an embarrassing 8-1 loss. The fact that they killed off that 5-3, which came at the most unfortunate time, was huge. DeSmith was a big factor in tonights win as well. He was incredible and kept us in the game. After tonight, I'm sure the upcoming two day break will be appreciated.

Overall, I really enjoyed tonights game and its nice to see the team improving and having a better start to the season.

2 losses on this road trip to the Flyers and Lightning and all of a sudden the bandwagon empties again. l guess old habits never go away terrible.

5 - 3 win over the Florida bed pans, Myers looked horrible Desmith looking like a decent trade will see.
Growing up the joke use to be the Kanhooks would be out of the playoffs by Christmas now it's they'll be out by Halloween.

Sad to hear the passing of former Kanooks goaltender Dunc Wilson he was 75.
Fun fact he was the first Knuckles goalie to record a shut out 0-0 against the Laffs l didn't check the year.

Oil spill on aisle 97. Are they trying to imitate the Canucks? 27 goals against,worst in the league. Is Travis Green their coach ? Oh,I get it, they want to win the draft lottery...again. Don't feel sorry for the McWhiners whatsoever.

I also can't see Calgary doing anything, no scoring, Huberdeau continues to look like a total bust after his 115 pt season in Florida,Toffolii the better player and they let him go,now lighting it up with Jack Hughes.

Solid lunch bucket win by the Canooks . If they can keep it up and their division foes continue to stumble ,it could get very interesting, especially if they can make some hay on their 3 game homestand,actually their next 6 games look quite winnable. If you wanna be a playoff team ,getting a quick winning start at the beginning of the season is imperative.

That's absolutely well said skipper Grumps yes Oil spills and Lames look like disasters so yes best time to make hay now is correct l'm enjoying what l'm seeing l still close my eyes when Myers handles the puck.

May 13th 1988, Detroit Coach Jacques Demers said today the Red Wings might still be in the Stanley Cup playoffs if forward Bob Probert had stayed sober.

Probert, a recovering alcoholic, was one of six players who the Red Wings said were out drinking in Edmonton, Alberta, well past curfew, on the eve of what Demers called "our biggest game of the season."

"Not me," Probert said. "You sure you got the right guy?"

The players were found drinking about 2 a.m. Wednesday, three hours past the team's curfew, by assistant coach Colin Campbell and chief scout Neil Smith.

Said Demers: "I honestly believe we could have won that game and come back for Game 6 in Detroit. If only it weren't for six idiots."

"Bob Probert has been made a hero in Detroit," Demers said. " . . . He doesn't deserve it one bit. But it wasn't just Probert. How about the others? They're all guilty."
